Why address history matters
Registers are maintained locally. An extract for the current home may not cover a previous district. A five-year perspective is often requested, but it is not a universal ordering rule.

An example, not a universal rule
Someone living in Zurich after previously residing in another district may need an extract from each. The receiving organisation decides whether both are required.
Starting multiple orders
Start with the current address and create a separate order for each relevant previous district. This keeps affected person, jurisdiction, payment and documents traceable.
